All of our area rugs include free shipping and are shipped with the ultimate in care to minimize the risk of damage during shipment. We wrap and protect your rugs in heavy duty bags and do our best to ensure they arrive in the same condition we shipped
them. Please see below for measures you can take to ensure your rug arrives in
the condition it was in when it left our warehouse. This is important information regarding your responsibilities so you can protect your rights. When freight companies take possession of the rugs for shipment, they have the responsibility to handle them with care in transit. But it's you, the customer, who should inspect the area rug before signing any releases.
Make Sure To Protect Your Rights If Freight Damage Is Suspected Or Occurs
1. Inspect your shipment for damage before signing the Bill of Lading
2. Note any suspected damage on the bill of lading. Without a notation, you are receiving your freight free and clear, thus waiving your freight claim rights.
3. Remember, freight claims are made against the freight line, not against Rugs That Fit.Com. The reason is, once we consign an order to a freight company, they are responsible for those goods and upon delivery, it becomes the responsibility of the customer to inspect the goods before signing the Bill of Lading. Signing the Bill of Lading without notation releases the freight company from liability.
